The Old Tobacco Factory - The New Culture Factory
The tobacco factory, one of Slemani's oldest factories, was established in 1956 by the Iraqi Ministry of Economy, spanning over an area of 25 dunams. Beginning its operations in 1961, it continued functioning until 1991. Currently, it serves as a vibrant hub for various cultural centers, projects, and events, and stands as one of the prominent cultural landmarks in Sulaimani.
